Warmth, structure, and character for restrained spaces.
Kilims as Heirloom Textiles
A kilim is a flatwoven textile, often used as a rug, wall hanging, or object of daily life. Woven without pile, its pattern is formed directly through the interlacing of warp and weft, giving it a flexible structure and crisp visual clarity.
At Anadoloom, we approach kilims as pieces made to be lived with, collected, and carried forward over time. Their value lies in the wool, dyes, weave, and handwork - qualities that give each piece depth, character, and longevity.
Natural Dyes & Hand-Spun Wool
Each Anadoloom kilim is individually handwoven in Anatolia using hand-spun wool and natural dyes.
The wool is selected for its strength, texture, and ability to carry colour. Spun by hand rather than machine, the yarn keeps subtle variations in thickness, giving the weave movement and character.
It is then dyed in small batches with natural materials such as madder root, indigo, and walnut. Together, hand-spun wool and natural dyes create a surface with depth, variation, and quiet richness - qualities that develop beautifully over time.
Warmth and Structure for Contemporary Interiors
Anadoloom kilims are selected for interiors that value restraint, materiality, and character. Their flatwoven structure brings clarity to a room, while natural dyes and hand-spun wool add warmth, texture, and depth.
They are made for spaces that do not need more decoration, but something more lasting: a textile with presence, warmth, and quiet emotional weight.
The Collection
Two paths through Anatolia’s woven heritage. Anadoloom’s collection brings together two expressions of the same craft.
The Capsule Collection reinterprets Anatolian motifs through restrained, minimalist designs - quiet, balanced, yet rooted in tradition.
The On the Road series is shaped by journeys across Anatolia - created with bolder colour, freer compositions, and a more spontaneous spirit.
Together, they form a living archive of Anatolian weaving: pieces made with hand-spun wool and natural dyes, chosen to bring warmth, authenticity, and depth into the modern home.

How are Anadoloom kilims made?
Each kilim is handwoven in Anatolia, in small batches from hand-spun wool and natural dyes.
What makes natural dyes special in kilims?
Natural dyes are drawn from roots, leaves, and minerals - madder for red, indigo for blue, walnut for beige.
They age beautifully without losing dept, unlike synthetic dyes, which fade flat and harm the environment.
True natural dyeing is rare today: it demands patience, skill, and small-scale craft, and costs far more than its industrial counterparts.

What is hand-spun wool in kilim weaving?
Hand-spun wool is made by twisting raw fleece by hand on a simple spindle - an ancient skill passed down through generations.
Unlike machine-spun yarn, which breaks the fibre and flattens its natural elasticity, hand-spinning keeps the wool’s full strength and softness.
Few artisans still practice it, making it one of the most time-honoured and difficult skills to preserve.

What makes Anatolia special in kilim weaving?
Anatolia lies where East meets West - a meeting point of cultures, symbols, and craft. For centuries, its weavers who lived in this region have turned wool into storytelling.
This blend of heritage and artistry makes Anatolian kilims unlike any other - living expressions of a timeless landscape.
Why choose an Anadoloom kilim?
Each Anadoloom kilim is part of a living tradition that is quietly fading. Across Anatolia, looms are closing, and the knowledge of natural dyeing and hand-spinning is being lost.
By choosing a piece woven slowly by skilled hands, you help keep this heritage alive - supporting the weavers, their craft, and the rhythm of making that has shaped Anatolia for centuries.
